| Crock pot apple crisp |
Being the person that I am, I can not waist food. When I hear people complain and say things like "I'd rather starve than to eat...," it's obvious they have never gone hungry before.
Anyhow, I just can't waste food. Instead of tossing the bag I made slow cooked apple crisp. Besides peeling and slicing the apples; it's super easy.
These ingredients are based on using a 5 lb. bag of apples. This recipe also contains nuts.

Pour 1/2 a cup of water in the crock pot. Layer 1/3 of the sliced apples in the slow cooker. Sprinkle lightly with sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Repeat the process until all of the apples are in the crock pot. Cook over night on low, or cook it in the morning.

After the apples are nearly finished or finished cooking make the crisp. Combine all of the crisp ingredients. Mix well and add it to the slow cooked apples. Leave enough to a layer the top with some. Let the apple crisp cook on low for another hour and serve.
This looks so good. I'm going to try and make it. YUM!
